Stacey Hutchings

Stacey Hutchings

Director & Principal

Stacey Hutchings earned her teaching degree at Brigham Young University, M.Ed. at the University of Utah and M.Ed of Educational Leadership at Western Governors University.  She is a third generation teacher having taught history and Spanish for several years.   She then was a founding faculty member at Utah Virtual Academy where she was the Head of School.  She has loved being the  Director and Principal of Career Path High School located on the campus of Davis Technology College since 2016.  

Stacey was appointed by Governor Spencer Cox to the Utah State Board of Education where she served from 2022-2024.  She is currently on the Digital Teaching and Learning Advisory Board for USBE and is a Senior Advisor for Secondary Students for Davis Technical College. In addition, Stacey has been involved in many community organizations as a former member of the Salt Lake County Library Board, member and chair of the Kearns Town Council, and Director for the Women’s Legislative Council of Utah.  She served an LDS mission in Malaga,  Spain.  She enjoys traveling with some of her favorite places to visit being Spain, France, China, Israel and Pakistan where she has gained a tremendous respect for the power education has to change lives.  

Most importantly Stacey is the mother of 4 adult children and enjoying being a first time grandma.  She loves spending her time with her children at their synchronized skating events and drum corps competitions with her husband.
